There does not appear to be such a word as Castrano, except as a person's surname. As Kiwi has said, the word 'castrato' means a man who has been castrated to produce an artificially high singing voice, although this voice is known as 'alto', not 'soprano'. The plural of castrato is castrati. You can read about these people at http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A590348

He must mean Castrato. There is a nice line in the new James Bond film when an unpleasant bloke is talking to a Cuban waiter and tells him that if he doesn't bring some more girls he will be known as Fidel Castrato!
