It will probably never be known. Jim Morrison, died from a drug overdose. www.dotmusic.com/artists/TheDoors/ news/July2002/news25662.asp - Jim Morrison died from an apparent drug overdose in 1971. http://www.lvrj.com/lvrj_home/2002/Mar-04-Mon-2002/news/18227688.html The doctor's report describes Jim's death as 'natural' and does not give details on why Jim's heart failed. The reason remains unknown, an autopsy was never done. However, Bill Siddons later remembered hearing Pamela say that she heard the physician talk about a blood clot blocking the cardiac artery, which had apparently been the cause of death. The most probable cause of death, however, was the dangerous cocktail of the asthma medication and the huge amounts of alcohol Jim was so well known for consuming. According to several physicians, even a small dose of the asthma medication and the mixture of alcohol, can be toxic and eventually have a lethal effect, especially when the body is already in a weakened state, which Jim's was from years of alcohol abuse. www.velvetgypsy.com/ScreamOfTheButterfly/Jim's.html
