The flags of a number of countries (e.g., Comoro Islands, Mauritania, Pakistan) have stars between the horns of the crescent moon. Can this ever be seen in the sky?

Question #24979. Asked by Nude Dude. (Dec 08 02 2:59 PM)

    Fosse4

As the crescent moon is an illusion caused by the shadow of the earth on the moons surface it is impossible to see stars between the points (they will always be hidden by the moon)
