I think the point Nude Dude is the following. Riding a bike is a constant state of it falling in one direction or the other. If it falls to the right you steer to the right to pull it back upright. Falling to the left, steer to the left. It is almost never actually perfectly balanced. You are falling almost 100 percent of the time if you a riding a bike !!!!!

I think what Nude Dude is getting at is that if your bicycle starts to fall to the left, you should steer left. It is possible that you may be able to regain your balance. If you try to steer to the right, the bike will just fall over.

You steer in the direction that you are falling to restore the centre of gravity to its vertical position , through the bike frame and its rider. This is also the highest point that the centre of gravity can be without changing the position the rider is sitting in.

It happens because of the gyroscopic action of the wheels. Because the wheel has a spinning moment of inertia, any force applied to the axis of rotation results in a motion at right angles to the direction of the applied force. Turning the wheel to the left causes it to move at right angles to that turn, which rotates the bike upwards towards the vertical.
