    I saw a question earlier that said 1p and 2p is only legal tender up to 20p, Would it, therefore, still be illegal to deface them if you have 21p worth?

    		IF it was legal to deface them , you could only do it to ONE of them.
    Having hammered a 1p piece into an unrecognisable lump, the remaining 20p suddenly becomes legal tender again and you would have to stop!!!

    		What would happen it it was a 2p that you hammered into an unrecognisable lump rather than the 1p?
