    According to the RC Church, are lies ever morally permissable?

    		I would think that the Commandment 'Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour' is applicable to all Christian denominations, including Roman Catholicism.

    		Actually when lies are used to uphold a greater good - if a murderer asks you the location of their potential victim, and you use a lie to send them in the wrong direction - then they are acceptable.
