From where do we get the tradition of kissing under the mistletoe?
Question
#25490. Asked by Sam.

an alias says: Mistletoe is one of the only plants that grows berries only in the snowy winter, when all the other trees and plants lost their leaves. It was considered, therefore, to be a triumph in fertility. Along with holly and ivy, that kept growing under wintery conditions, it was considered good luck to bring these plants inside the home. Mistletoe = fertility, and kissing is a good place to start! Wed Dec 25 18:47:14 CST 2002 (Delete Entry) (Moved from #25546 - Duplicate question - McG)
