    How does one 'seed' a cloud?

    		That should have been throughed binoculars but joking apart I think Doug deseves a serious answer. To seed a cloud, an aircraft flies into the thunderstorm updraft. Based upon the project meteorologist's recommendations, the pilot deploys silver iodide flares at the cloud top or uses pressurized wing-tip generators which burn a silver iodide-acetone solution for cloud-base operations.

    		Cloud seeding is done by distributing dry ice crystals or silver iodide particles over developing storm clouds in a specific area.
