Obviously you have fallen victim to one of the latest Urban Folk Tales. The chicken is chicken. KFC is very picky about the quality of their chickens, in fact, when KFC first opened a franchise in Japan it was met with poor sales. They found out it tasted 'different', sort of 'funny', because Japanese farmers fed their chickens with a lot of seaweed based feed. KFC paid a select group of farmers extra to feed their chickens with corn and grain feeds so the chicken would have a taste consistant with American restaurants.
