How did Alexander the Great send secret messages with his envoy?

    Question #26516. Asked by RND.

    Jac

Is this the one where he shaved the envoy's head and wrote (tattooed?) the message on, then let the man's hair grow back? At the other end the envoy needed a haircut before the message could be read, obviously.
