    Where did Sherlock Holmes live before Baker street?

    		'Sherlock's life before taking up residence with Watson at 221B Baker Street was spent accumulating the knowledge that served him so well there. He spent some time at university learning only the sciences he felt would be of use to him later on. He then spent some time in Chicago working for the famous Pinkerton Detective Agency where he learned his powers of disguise. On returning to England he struggled to set up shop as the world's first consulting detective and eventually succeeded, as recorded by Watson.'
