How close does any part of North America come to being as far east as any part of Europe?

It depends very much on what you call North America and what you call Europe. Greenland is part of the continent of North America geologically. Iceland is part of the continent of Europe culturally and politically. The eastmost point of Greenland is further east than the westmost point in Iceland. If you exclude Greenland, would Newfoundland do, or would it have to be on the mainland? The easternmost point on the N.A. mainland is in Labrador, near Newfoundland. In Europe, if Iceland is not allowed, is Ireland, which is geologically part of Europe? The furthest west point in Ireland is Slea Head in Kerry.
