I'm trying to remember a children's TV show from the 70s. There was a puppet in it named Hartley Hare. Anyone recall such a programme?

    Question #27062. Asked by Norwich.

Hi Mark - This was one of my favourite programmes - called 'Pipkins'. There was a pig called 'Pig' with a very strong Birmingham accent and an ostrich called 'Octavia' with a very sexy French accent!!

We used to do these accents at work along with 'Chorlton and the Wheelies' with the Welsh witch - What about 'Will o' the Wisp' with Mavis Cruet - the fat fairy, 'Arthur' the caterpillar and 'Evil Edna' the TV who zapped everyone!!

Great stuff - all non pc!!

Many thanks, Jennie - I remember watching this, Rainbow, Fingermouse, Bagpuss and The Clangers on the rented black-and-white television.... Those WERE the days!
