I'm not sure if many of you have heard of the animal 'titi'. Well, the titi is a small monkey and it is found in South America. All I want to know is that if it has something to do with Lake Titicaca in South America...?

    Question #27501. Asked by me07. (Feb 01 03 2:19 PM)

At 12,500 feet above sea level, Titicaca is a bit high for the jungles that the Titi monkeys live in. The lake's name means Stone Puma so I don't really think there is a connection. It's unusual for me to be the serious one, but the others got in first with the funnies.

An alternative suggested meaning for Titicaca is Crag of Lead. Again, it has nothing to do with monkeys, so it seems unlikely that the names are connected.
