Gippler says: 1337-1453 (116 years). Start. Claim to throne of France by Edward III of England. England occupied/ ruled/claimed various parts of France at this time. End. Charles the Good switched sides (England to France) in 1435. Charles VII conquered Normandy and Aquitaine (England pre-occupied with 'Wars of the Roses' in 1453. England left with Calais till 1558.
