    Can you give me start and finish dates for the Hundred Years War? Why did it start and who was partly responsible for its cessation?

    Start. Claim to throne of France by Edward III of England. England occupied/
    ruled/claimed various parts of France at this time.
    End. Charles the Good switched sides (England to France) in 1435.
    Charles VII conquered Normandy and Aquitaine (England pre-occupied
    with 'Wars of the Roses' in 1453. England left with Calais till 1558.
