    Why was Mexico invited to host the World Cup for a second time in 1986 so soon after 1970?

    		As the World Cup is allocated to each continent in turn and The america's were due to host it again, given the turmoil of the South American countries at that time, Mexico was probably the only safe country to hold it in.

    		I think originally the WC 1986 was to be staged in Colombia. But because of some difficulties, the tournament was moved to Mexico. They did that probably because the Mexicans had the facilities and they were the only Latin-American country willing to host the WC
