    Here in the States, New Orleans is famous for its Mardi Gras celebration. Are there any places in France (or other countries) that are also so famous?

    		Mardi Gras is celebrated in most places in Europe. It is often just called 'Carnival'. The most famous Mardi Gras celebrations are in Venice, Italy.

    		Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is famed for it's Carnival.
    Nice, France, and Cologne, Germany, also are big party towns this time of year.

    Quebec City's 'Carnaval de Quebec' is the world's third largest celebration leading up to Mardi Gras. They also claim it to be the largest 'snow-oriented' winter carnival.
