Since 1988 at Charles deGaulle airport in terminal 1, former Iranian Merhan Nasseri roams the airport - a man without a country...he was an Iranian who became a refugee...he flew to London but was denied because somewhere along the way, his passport and refugee certificate were stolen..England sent him back to France..since he wasn't a French citizen...he could not leave the airport/customs-immigration area...and due to red tape from French and Belgin authorities, he's been trapped at the airport. htp://www.straightdope.com/classics/a990820.html-9k Mar 03 03, 5:42 AM

In fact there is a short film about him called 'Sir Alfred of Charles de Gaulle Airport' He is currently still at CDG but apparently has moved from terminal one into one of the others.
