Is the temperature cooler or warmer at the bottom of the Grand Canyon?

Question #29060. Asked by giseun. (Mar 04 03 11:21 AM)

Summer can be a comfortable 85 degrees at the Canyon's rim, but can be a scorching 110 degrees at the bottom, where nothing but the spray from the Colorado River can cool you off.

In winter, snow clings to rock ledges and transforms the Grand Canyon. Of course, down lower along the Colorado River, the snow seldom survives.
