    		Billy Cannon (b. 2-8-37): Football RB. Led Louisiana State to national championship in 1958 and won Heisman Trophy in 1959. Signed contract in both NFL (Los Angeles) and AFL (Houston). Houston won lawsuit for his services. Played in six AFL championship games with Houston, Oakland, Kansas City. Career span 1960 to 1970. Served three-year jail term for 1983 conviction on counterfeiting charges.

    		Since earning a place in football history by winning the 1959 Heisman Trophy, Billy Cannon's life has gone downhill. He served 2.5 years in prison for his role in a counterfeiting ring, and today his Heisman Trophy sits in a restaurant he goes to for free lunches.
