Conan Doyle's The Lost World was shown on 6th April 1925 during an Imperial Airways flight to the Continent. TWA was the first airline to introduce regular in flight movies starting with By Love Possessed in the first class section during a scheduled internal flight from New York to Los Angeles on 19th July 1961. In 1921 Aeromarine Airways showed HOWDY CHICAGO to its passengers as the amphibian airplane flew around Chicago.
In 1961 the fiirst feature film exhibited on a regularly scheduled commercial airline flight (a TWA B707) was "BY LOVE POSSESSED", starring Lana Turner and Efrem Zimbalist Jr.
