    There has been some experiments involving turning a hydra inside out. What was the purpose of those experiments and what happened to the poor hydra?

    At the bottom of the article they talk about using a disecting microscope. I assume they cut it open and observe the inards through a microscope. The are trying to figure out what is in the hydra that paralyzes its attackers.
