Sorry, Kerry8888 (my brother's name too), that's incorrect. Yes, Shirley Temple received only an "honorary" Oscar as they didn't give the "real" awards to kids in those days.
But 10-year-old Tatum O'Neal ("Paper Moon") was the youngest to ever win ANY real Academy Award. She won best supporting actress, as did (slightly older) Anna Paquin later.
By the way, Jessica Tandy ("Driving Miss Daisy") was the oldest to win an Oscar. She was 82.
