    Who was the world's first passenger in an aeroplane?

    This was at Kill Devil Hills, Kittyhawk, N Carolina on 14th May 1908. The first passenger was Charles W Furnas of Drayton, Ohio on a flight of 1,968 ft that lasted 29 seconds in the Wright Flyer III. He was Wilbur Wright's mechanic. New Shell Book of Firsts

    The first woman was a few weeks later on 8th July 1908. Mme Therese Peltier was taken for a short flight by Leon Delagrange at Turin in a Voisin. Same source.
