    Is it true that the faster your heart beats, the shorter amount of time you live?

    		No. Smaller people have hearts that beat faster than bigger {people;} women's hearts beat faster than men. There is no evidence that smaller people have shorter lives, and with women versus men, it is quite the opposite: women on average live longer.

    But as a general rule for animals it {works;} mice live shorter lives than elephants and have much faster heartbeat.
