From where comes the Ouija board?

Question #30408. Asked by tim. (Mar 22 03 11:10 PM)

The name comes from oui (yes in French) and ja (yes in German). Only those who have gone before probably know WHY. As the board the moves is called a planchette, it is quite possible that the thing is French. Very inefficient as you only get Yes or No as an answer. DON'T use any of these things unless with someone who really knows what they are doing.
