What was the children's book that had teddy bears called Velvet Trousers and Golden Syrup among the characters?

Question #30514. Asked by Puzzled Bear. (Mar 24 03 9:33 PM)

    Gsyrup

The book was called 'The Bear Bus', bus being short for omnibus. I think that there were two or three books in this collected edition. In one of them golden syrup and velevet trousers shortened their names to G.S.Y.Rup and V.T. Rousers, another had a family of nasty children who captured the bears fairy friend (I think) all I relly remember is the illustration. Sorry I can't remember the author but I'm sure that we still have a copy somewhere so I'll try and find it for you.

I am trying to find the name of a comic book series that was set in space with the characters wearing roman dress (and I have the idea that one of the characters was called Trajan, but can't be sure). It was in some almanacs at my school library in the early 1980's. Can anyone help?

Kleenex Velvet toilet roll was launched in 1982, but in the last few years is now just called Velvet and owned by SCA hygiene products. It may be obscure but does anyone know why they decided to sell a successful product line rather than keep it going as normal?
