Hi mochyn, and thanks for that. I was watching Soccer AM this morning and they showed the regular slot which features the three hardest shots of the week. Generally, the hardest shot is around 70mph. I remember Peter Lorimer as having a legendarily hard shot and was guessing that it may have been around 75mph, but 90mph is incredible. The way things are going, Leeds might be tempted to recall him....

Except for the infamous save by Montogomery in the 73 Cup Final, Lorimer rarely missed a shot. He not only had a fierce shot, he was also very accurate - I can remember goals from 30 and 40 yards out.

The legendary Wimbledon 'keeper Dickie Guy also saved a shot from Lorimer in an early round of the FA Cup. As you say though, gtho4, he rarely missed and on that occasion I believe that he placed the shot rather than blasting it.
