    In some parts of France there are actual spider farms. Why would anyone want to farm spiders?

    		Some 65 years ago a special spider farm was set up in France to obtain spider
    silk..(for textiles).but the farm soon ceased to exist because it was impossible to feed these voracious creatures.

    Australian Reptile Park and Wildlife Sanctuary at Gosford NSW.
    It is known for its lifesaving work in the production of snake and spider venom, helping to save over 300 lives in Australia each year.
