Venus is 66.7 million miles from the sun. Mars is 141 million miles from the sun. Light travels at 186,000 miles per second. When Venus and Mars are closest to each other, it would take light 6 minutes and 40 seconds to travel from one to the other. When they are furthest apart, it would take 18 minutes and 37 seconds.
