The water in the beer is insufficient to counteract the dehydrating qualities of the alcohol.
Ethyl alcohol or ethanol, known commonly as alcohol, is the same whether the beverage is wine, beer, or hard liquor. www.oregoncounseling.org/ArticlesPapers/ Documents/ETOHBIOFx.htm
Alcohol causes dehydration two-fold, by requiring more water to metabolise, and by acting as a diuretic (making you wee more). http://www.warwickboar.co.uk/?article=1677

I like beer. I thought a quiz about beer would be fun. Pop open a cold one and enjoy. Please note: This quiz may not be very easy if not familiar with beer in the USA.
