In what year did the White House Historical Association commission the first ornament to celebrate Christmas?

    Question #31175. Asked by Becca.

    McGruff

The 1981 ornament was the first official Christmas ornament commissioned by the White House Historical Association. It is a faithfully hand-crafted miniature replica of the famous angel weathervane made in 1840 in Charleston, Massachusetts, for the Universalist Church in Newburyport.
