Frankie Crosetti In a Yankee career that stretched from Babe Ruth to Mickey Mantle, Crosetti won seven World Series titles as a player and nine as a coach. He participated in a staggering 23 World Series as a player or coach. As a player, Crosetti was fast, leading the AL in steals in 1938 and finishing among league leaders three other times. When he died on February 12, 2002 he was one of the last men to have played with Ruth.
