Just when is the last minute one can mail the tax for the April 15 deadline, does that mean 11:59 PM April 14, or what?

you can file online and that has to be by 11:59 PM on April 15th. (so if this is for this year, you have almost 23 hrs or so.) if you file using US Post Office, your return just has to be postmarked by Midnight on April 15th. A lot of cities keep their main post offices open late to get the last minute rush of filers. the ost Office People collect the returns and close the lines at 11:59 PM.
