The Veteran Car Club of Great Britain was founded in 1930

The Club exists to serve all who have an enthusiasm for Veteran and Edwardian motor cars and the pleasure and social activities which surround them.

Veteran motor cars are regarded by the Club as those manufactured before
    December 31st 1904.
Edwardian motor cars are regarded by the Club as those manufactured between
    January 1st 1905 and December 31st 1918.

... and just to round it up, cars built between 1919 -1930 inclusive are classed as 'Vintage'.

After that it gets a bit wooly, with PVT (post-vintage thoroughbred) and Classic, etc. which do not have clearly defined dates.
