The quote 'Very Flat, Norfolk' is attributed to Noel Coward
Senior Moments
Most sites agree with it being from Private Lives by Noel Coward although at least one site claims it as being Charles Dickens. http://www.norwich2008.com/news/fry.htm has the following: - MESSAGE FROM STEPHEN FRY 'Welcome to Norwich, a fine city' %96 as painful a sound to the ears of a Norvicensian as 'Very flat, Norfolk,' or 'Ha' you got a light, bor?' But, like many cliches, it is also a fact. Norwich is a fine city. None finer.
