the rc church usually takes the view that james, joseph, judas and simon (from mark 6) were cousins of Jesus. while no-one is sure, the church is adamant that Jesus had no actual brothers or sisters. Apr 30 03, 10:08 PM

According to the Bible, Jesus had brothers and sisters. The Roman Catholic Church teaches that there are other articles of faith outside of the Bible which have been handed down over the last two thousand years. One of these is that Mary did not have any other children because she never slept with a man.
