    What happens when you heat a diamond to 1400 -1607 degrees F?

    In the presence of oxygen it will burn.

    Diamonds burn at just over 1300 degrees Farenheit in pure oxygen and around 1550 degrees Farenheit in air (around 20 percent oxygen).
