I read somewhere that the United States made more than two atomic bombs during World War II, and at least one of them was lost in the Pacific Ocean, is there any info to verify this or was it all fiction?

They must have made at least three - the first was detonated in New Mexico, then two in Japan. As regards the 'lost in the Pacific' story, are you thinking of the USS Indianapolis (please excuse spelling if it's wrong)? The loss of this ship is surronded by controversy and it was probably involved in transporting either complete A-bombs or their components.
