I just cooked Adobo, what is it?

Question #33371. Asked by talcum powder girl. (May 10 03 10:39 AM)

Adobo is not a dish in itself, but a spice mixture containing, among other things, pepper, garlic and oregano. http://www.recipehound.com/Recipes/0475.html

mk2norwich is definitely talking about Adobo, tpg.
Whatever your pork recipe was, it couldn't have been authentic.

I've just looked at six pages of Adobo recipes and every one is different - in common with every other recipe (remember Shrewbury Biscuits last year?) it's whoever writes them out - Six people will give six different ingredients!

It looks good though, talcum powder girl - might give it a go. It seems pork and chicken are the two meats for Adobo - is this correct?
