If you mean what happened to her when she was in trouble, the following was reported on 28 June 2001 - Country singer Carlene Carter (the step-daughter of Johnny Cash) and her 'longtime companion' Howie Epstein (who plays bass for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) were arrested in Albuquerque, N.M., on Tuesday night (6/26) after they were caught in an allegedly stolen Jeep Cherokee, the Albuquerque Journal reported. Police claim they turned up about three grams of black tar heroin and 'a large amount of drug paraphernalia' during a search of the car, which was initially pulled over for speeding. Carter allegedly admitted the drugs and paraphernalia belonged to her, and was jailed on felony charges of heroin possession and of receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle. Epstein was charged with receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle. Carter reportedly told police that the vehicle was borrowed from a family member, and Epstein claimed that they were rushing to the airport so that Epstein could make it to a show in the eastern U.S. Both were reportedly released from jail on Wednesday morning (6/27) when the case was dismissed without prejudice, meaning that prosecutors can re-file the cases later. http://www.livedaily.citysearch.com/news/3283.html
