    		In 1985, in partnership with Lorimar Telepictures, he (Wenner) purchased US magazine from the New York Times Company. In 1989, he assumed total ownership of the title and repositioned it as US The Entertainment Magazine. Wenner successfully engineered a complete turnaround of the title and today US ranks as the leading comprehensive entertainment magazine with 5.5 million readers.
