Is it true that the ancient Romans buried pregnant women alive, and what did they do to deserve this punishment?

Priestesses of the goddess Vesta were required to be virgins, and Vestal virgins who broke their vow of chastity were buried alive. I can't find any record of a pregnant Vestal being buried, but I suppose in some cases pregnancy might be the cause of their affairs being discovered.
