aborigines do not traditionally engage in agricultural activities. they are hunters and gatherers - that is they make camp in a certain area, gather from existing food sources such as nuts, roots, berries, yams and the like as well as hunting for the game available in the area. when food sources diminish, they move on to another site and allow the previous site to replenish before returning. walkabout comes from the tradition of moving on to another place at regular intervals to look for whatever they need to survive.....
