From Narcissus, a character in Greek mythology who fell in love with his own reflection.

Here is the first reference to a new psychiatric condition - the Narcissus complex. This leads celebrities into marriage with people who reflect their image back to them at first, but who get fed up and divorced fairly soon. Whereupon the celebrity chooses another from the pool and does the same again. Sad, isn't it? Why do the self worshippers and posers have all the money (until the third divorce, at least) while the intelligent ones like us have to live here?

I also studied greek mythology for many terms and in my version the gods took pity on him and turned him into a flower, hence the narcissus
