I agree K, that Eilean Donan is the most photographed in Scotland, but King Ludwig Konig's Castle claims to be the most photographed in the world. Looking at this pic, I don't doubt it! http://www.neuschwanstein.com/

Running a google search for 'most photographed castle', almost all websites that mention the Eilean Donan Castle say it is the most photographed in Scotland, and the claim that it is 'one of the' most photographed in the world is probably not false. That doesn't make it the most photographed. Almost all the literature about King Ludwig's castle in Bavaria lists it as the most photographed castle in the world. It is also one of the inspirations for the Disney castles. None of the results included the Disney castle as being the world's most photographed castle, perhaps because it isn't a real castle.
