    Apart from Royals, Harold Macmillan - Lord Stockton. All later peerages have been for life only.

    Denis Thatcher became a baronet, while Maggie has a life peerage.

    Baronets are not part of the Peerage, being a sort of hereditary knighthood (next rank up, in fact). I'm glad this question was excavated - I was thinking of posting one very similar.
