How does one tell the difference amongst a bee, hornet, and wasp?

hornets are wasps. bees do not eat meat in any stage of their life while wasps' larvae eat meat. wasps can sting multiple times (that's how they catch caterpillars and stuff), while bees cannot. bees are also fatter than wasps. size (unless its how long they are) does not matter. there are tiny wasps (like those which lay eggs on that fig tree somewhere) and enormous bees (such as bumblebees). I think (think) that bees also have pollen sacs while wasps do not.
