    In what country did the current deck of 52 playing cards originate?

    		lots of answers to this question rae....

    one that actually refers to the current style of playing card with 52 cards to a deck originated in china in the 15th century....prior to that the cards were differently presented. playings cards per se go back well beyond that - some say to ancient egypt....
