Why are there so few (or no) purple or green mammals?

Seems odd. Maybe purple wouldn't be a good camouflage colour, but green ought to be useful in many habitats. There are a few green(ish) mammals mentioned here, but not many. http://www.strangeark.com/biofortean/green.html Can't find ANY purple mammals. A few monkeys have proud purple backsides, but that's all.

The only purple animal I have been able to find is the blesbok. It is an African antelope, but its distinctive color makes it stand out in the savannah.
